Please stop Protesting, Just Pray for Me – Father Mbaka Appealed to Followers

Fr. Ejike Mbaka, the spiritual head of Adoration Ministry in Enugu, Nigeria, AMEN, has left for the monastery.

The Daily Post reports that Mbaka was expelled from the Adoration Ministry and ordered to enter a convent to pray about his future vocation.

The Adoration Ministry, which had been closed for three months, reopened this past Sunday after a new direction from church leadership.

On Wednesday, the controversial priest posted a video to his official Facebook page asking his supporters to be calm while he makes his way to the monastery.

He asked the “adorers” in the ministry to stop protesting his dismissal and instead pray for him.

In his words, “Please as I have indicated, I heard some individuals are intending to protest. No one has been requested to make a statement on my behalf. And please don’t tell me that there was some sort of demonstration in opposition to my going to the monastery.

In order to make me happy, I need the assistance of my devoted followers in preventing any form of protest from being staged in my name. The protest or rally intended to aid me may end up threatening my priestly vocation.

“Now is when we find out who our true fans are. I ask for your support in prayer as I set out to spend time in quiet meditation and waiting on the Lord.
