Breaking – Mercy Chinwo, Peterson Okopi Wins Big At CLIMA Africa Awards 2022

Mercy Chinwo-Blessed and Peterson Okopi are the winners of the 2022 CLIMA Africa Awards for Gospel Music Ministers.
The ‘Excess Love’ singer posted online images of the prize plaque. She penned, “Glory to God for the Great Things He Has Done.”

In a similar manner, the ‘Osuba’ singer expressed gratitude and promised more. “As I go with Christ and mankind. I strike a balance… And I am grateful that the Father has placed me in this position to serve Him. Peterson remarked, “I’m dying daily, keeping awake in prayer as my hands do the work he has called me to do.”

“Award is not the compensation. It simply states (There is more), which is priceless, Your recompense is in Christ. He said, “Stick with Jesus the Reward while you savor the prize.

Peterson Okopi received the Africa indigenous song of the year award, while Mercy Chinwo got the Africa Gospel Artist of the Year honor.

Several gospel singers, including Sinach, Nosa, Nathaniel Bassey, Chioma Jesus, Dunsin Oyekan, Ada Ehi, and Hope Davies, were also nominated in the same category.

CLIMA Africa Awards, one of Africa’s most prestigious gospel and leadership impact awards, formally known as “The Christian Leadership and Impact Makers Awards in Africa,” took place in Shell Hall, MUSON Centre in Lagos on October 9, 2022.
